At East Side Neighborhood Services, we deliver hope.

Our food shelves provide over a million pounds of food to over 4,700 Hennepin County residents annually, primarily older adults and people with disabilities. As well as helping people access
culturally specific and nutritional food, over 40% of the food we provide is fresh fruits and vegetables!

Monetary donations are the most effective way to support our food shelves. By collaborating with food banks, restaurants, and stores, East Side is able to use your contributions to purchase food at a much lower price than what grocery stores charge.

Give your support today to unlock a match.

Until April 14, Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign will proportionally match cash and food donations to any of East Side’s food shelves.

Every family deserves access to nutritious and healthy food, and your support makes that happen:

Just $15 can feed someone for a week. A gift of $75 can supply food for an entire family.

In 2021, our volunteers distributed 914,220 pounds of food to 4,755 individuals across Hennepin County, most of whom are low-income aging adults with limited mobility.

“So many people go to bed
hungry and they shouldn’t. When they come to the food shelf, they get all the produce and milk, eggs, bread, and meat they need sustain them. That’s why I do it - to know that they’re getting what they need.”

- Nancy, volunteer

Your generosity makes our shared vision possible: that every person thrives, and every voice matters.

It’s the perfect time to increase your impact. Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign provides a proportional match to every gift to East Side before April 14. The more you give this month the more we receive from FoodShare!
