Role: NorthEast Day SPOT FRIEND

NE Day Spot is an in-person, weekly engagement program for people experiencing a chronic condition (like memory loss) to provide their care partner’s respite. Working with East Side staff, volunteers help create a community of care by being a NE Day Spot Friend. Time is spent socializing, playing games, enjoying music, having lunch, and creating artwork together.

Training for this position is provided, with a focus on socializing with people experiencing memory loss and other chronic conditions. This position would be beneficial for people currently training in medical or social service fields, art therapy, music therapy, and people retired from those fields who want experience working with people with memory loss or other chronic conditions.
